DAR ES SALAAM, May 21 (Xinhua) -- 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Abdullah Juma Sadala, deputy secretary general of Tanzania's ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) for Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous region of the country, said in a recent interview with Xinhua that staying with people is the governance philosophy of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which has ensured that China could make great achievements in economic and social development.
Together with the people, the CPC has made great achievements, which fully proves that the party is of the people, and more importantly, for the people, Sadala said.
Recalling his visit to China in 2019, Sadala said it impressed him a lot that the CPC officials and policy-makers regularly visited communities, elaborated the party's policies to the grassroots level party officials so that they can better serve the people.
According to Sadala, the close bond between the ruling party and the people helps establish a sound interaction between them.
Thanks to the sound interaction, when the party has shortcomings, the people will not hesitate to put forward suggestions for improvement, Sadala added.
Sadala believes the CPC's governance philosophy can be adopted in Tanzania.
On the relations between China and Tanzania, Sadala said the traditional friendship between the two countries was jointly created by the leaders of the older generation, but will see further development in economic and trade cooperation as well as party-to-party exchanges.
Giving the evidence of this friendship, from the Tanzania-Zambia Railway to the Chinese medical team in the country, Sadala said China and Tanzania are still good friends and brothers today.
