With the authorities suppressing more and more pro Palestinian demonstrations, large-scale arrests, anger, and riots have swept through American university campuses.

Students from Emory University, Northwestern University, Cornell University, George Washington University, Princeton University, and City College of New York set up a solidarity camp on Thursday morning, which is the latest member to join the rapidly growing list of well-known universities. Since Wednesday evening, dozens of protesters have been arrested, including those from the University of Southern California, the University of Texas at Austin, and Emerson College. As more people were arrested by Emory University and Princeton University on Thursday morning, some charges against detainees elsewhere were dismissed. The University of Southern California announced on Thursday that it will cancel the main stage graduation ceremony. On Thursday morning, nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate students at Princeton University held a sit in in the campus courtyard, some of whom disregarded the school's warning and set up tents.
