Within the framework of ongoing Kazakh Chairmanship in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kanat Tumysh, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Viet Nam, paid a visit to Bac Ninh province, located in the northern part of Viet Nam. Also, the visit was attended by Shovgi Mehdizade, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, DKNews.kz reports.
During the visit, they held a meeting with the provincial leadership, in particular, with the Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province (Governor of Bac Ninh province), Nguyen Huong Giang, and discussed the perspectives of mutual cooperation.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan discussed signing a Memorandum on Fraternal Relations and Cooperation between East Kazakhstan region and Bac Ninh province, as well as the upcoming visit of Deputy Governor of Bac Ninh Province to Oskemen on 23-25 April 2024.
In addition, Ambassador Kanat Tumysh informed the interlocutor about the ongoing work in the framework of the Kazakh OTS Chairmanship and discussed the possibilities of revitalizing and promoting the cooperation of the OTS countries with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). For this purpose, the parties agreed that the use of the “Middle Corridor” (The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) will be very important for the maximum development and increase of the transit-transport and multimodal-logistics potential along the Vietnam-PRC-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe route for both ASEAN and OTS.
In her turn, Nguyen Huong Giang noted that taking into account the high-level relations between our friendly countries, she will provide general support to the initiatives of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.The leadership of the province congratulated the Ambassadors on the occasion of Nowruz 2024, widely celebrated in Western and Central Asia, and wished to the Turkic World prosperity and well-being.
During their visit to Bac Ninh province, the Ambassadors also met with the management of the provincial tourism authorities, and discussed the possible joint projects in the field, inter alia, attracting investment, to be realised in the near future and medium term.
Last week, at the invitation of the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the City of Hai Phong in the Northern Viet Nam, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh took part in the plenary session of the Vietnam Connect Forum 2024.
The event was attended by more than 300 guests, including representatives of ministries and departments of Vietnam, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, international cooperation agencies of other countries in Vietnam, non-governmental organizations, as well as companies with foreign investments and companies invested by Vietnamese from abroad.
The Forum aimed to establishing cooperation with local and international partners, diplomatic agencies and investors.
The Ambassador Kanat Tumysh held meetings with the leadership of the city and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam on the sidelines of the event.
Ambassador also held meeting with Trần Hồng Hà, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister of Viet Nam in charge of Industry Economics, Investment, Science, Education, Culture and Social Affairs.
DPM praised the growing number of Kazakh tourist visiting Viet Nam in 2024. He assured that the Vietnamese side will soon complete all the necessary domestic (internal) procedures, which are required for entry into force of visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and Viet Nam.
