A full-cycle biopharmaceutical plant will appear in Kazakhstan

At the site of the international congress "Pharma Kazakhstan and Central Asia," Madina Abdikadyr, the Project Manager of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," met with Ahmad Kilani, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian company EIPICO, DKNews.kz reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the company's plans to build a full-cycle biopharmaceutical plant on the territory of Saran industrial zone in the Karaganda region. The planned investment volume will be $30 million.

The implementation of the project for the production of biosimilars and anticancer drugs in accordance with international GMP standards is expected to create 150-200 permanent jobs. Products for the treatment of oncologic diseases will be supplied to the domestic and nearby markets.

The meeting participants discussed the prospects for developing the pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan and the growing potential for investment cooperation. Madina Abdikadyr assured Egyptian investors of full support, noting that previously, there was no full-cycle pharmaceutical production in Kazakhstan.

In turn, representatives of EIPICO expressed their willingness to cooperate with Kazakhstan and achieve common goals in developing the pharmaceutical industry in the region.

EIPICO is Egypt's largest pharmaceutical manufacturer, with 276 medicines in 25 therapeutic groups. The company's products are the leader in the Egyptian market, accounting for 21% of the country's total pharmaceutical exports.
