The Romanian capital hosted a festive event to celebrate Nauryz, which was organized jointly with the Embassies of countries such as Iran, India, Turkmenistan, Türkiye and Kazakhstan, DKNews.kz reports.
The event was attended by representatives of Ministries, members of Parliament and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, representatives of government agencies, business and social circles, media, cultural and artistic figures, as well as the Kazakh Diaspora and our students studying in Romania.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali congratulating on the holiday told about the importance of celebration of Nauryz for the people, and also noted that since this year Nauryz is celebrated in a new format “Nauryznama”.
At the same time, Yerlik Ali noted in his speech that Turkic peoples have been celebrating this holiday of peace and harmony since ancient times, which has had the status of International Day for the last several years. Nauryz has become one of the national holidays, including the Turkic world, which gives an opportunity to continue the traditions of ancestors, increasing friendship and peace between all ethnic groups, as well as deepening cultural and humanitarian interaction between countries.
The event was continued with a special concert with the participation of Kazakhstani musicians. They performed traditional and modern Kazakh songs and cues. The audience was especially delighted by the famous works of Abai and Kurmangazy such as “Balbyrauyn”, “Kөzimnin karasy”, “Аday”, which were performed on national instruments such as dombyra, zhetygen and kobyz, as well as Romanian musical compositions.
The Embassy organized a festive dastarkhan with tasting of national dishes. The guests had an opportunity to taste Kazakh national dishes – Nauryz kozhe and traditional pastries.
The national stand presented jewelry, national clothing, household items, as well as books and brochures on the history, culture and modernity of Kazakhstan.
