«Nauryz meiramy», which is a public holiday in Turkic and a number of Asian countries, was solemnly celebrated in Vietnam in the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, DKNews.kz reports.
The solemn events held within the framework of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Organization of Turkic States were organized jointly by the Embassies of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. They were attended by Ambassadors of Kazakhstan Kanat Tumysh and Azerbaijan Shovgi Mehdizade, Embassy staff and citizens of the two fraternal states, as well as officials and active citizens of Vietnam – public figures, representatives of academic and business circles, the media. More than 100 people took part in each of the events.
Famous Kazakhstani artist, soloist of the Kazakh Concert, excellent student of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Perizat Turarova, as well as Azerbaijani diplomat and ashug (akin) Musa Guliyev took part in a solemn event in Ho Chi Minh City, where they surprised the Vietnamese audience with their wonderful Kazakh and Azerbaijani national compositions and songs, in addition to the cultural part of the event. Musical performances representing the culture of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were performed in Hanoi.
In addition, two embassies and their compatriots have prepared rich tables with a variety of national dishes for the guests. Business people from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Vietnam have established contacts and reached some preliminary business agreements.
The celebration of Nauryz Meirama in the largest cities of Vietnam has become a major event in terms of promoting Turkic, including Kazakh and Azerbaijani culture and art in the year of the chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the OTS. It was very warmly welcomed and received by the general Vietnamese public, the Kazakh and Azerbaijani communities, and also received high positive ratings on social networks.
The events were held in an atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect and were aimed at raising mutual cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
