On November 15, 2019 Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Yerlan Alimbayev met with the President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Vinay Sahasrabuddhe.
The sides exchanged views on expanding and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, direct contacts between scientific and educational institutions of the two countries.
In particular, the issues of participation of the Kazakh delegation in the 6th International Festival of Folk Dance and Music, which will be held on December 2-5, 2019 in India were discussed.
Along with this Ambassador Alimbayev briefed the head of #ICCR on events in Kazakhstan in 2020 dedicated to the 175th Anniversary of Abay Kunanbayuly under the auspices of UNESCO, the 1150th Anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, as well as the 750th Anniversary of the Golden Horde. The parties considered a number of joint projects in various cities of India on the occasion of the celebration of these anniversary events.
